History of Compass Group International

Compass Group International evolved from the success of Compass Properties, a real estate marketing and consulting firm started in Costa Rica in early 2004. In two years, Compass Properties developed into the leading real estate broker in the Mid-Pacific region of Costa Rica. After working extensively with developers in some of the most sought-after developments in Costa Rica, Compass Properties' management sensed that the needs of its developer partners extended beyond just locating buyers. Developers needed support with land acquisitions, developing a unique and competitive community, locating financing, and building a world-class sales and marketing organization that can attract buyers and close the sale. Compass Group International was incorporated to help developers address these needs and build the capacity of their own organizations to deliver their vision to international marketplace.

Will Roadhouse | CEO, Compass Group International

As CEO and founder of Compass Group International & Compass Properties, Will Roadhouse has overseen Compass Properties’ growth into the #1 brokerage in the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica. He brought leadership and management oversight to over 50 real estate professionals located throughout the United States and Costa Rica. Prior to starting Compass Properties, Mr. Roadhouse was a veteran of the financial services industry, having spent over 10 years in upper management with Wells Fargo Business Bank & Private Client Services; and having trained over 100 sales people and coauthored two Wells Fargo sales manuals. He was then recruited to Countrywide Home Loans as the Marketing Director for one of the top branches within the company funding over half a billion in loans annually. With these organizations, he guided teams of financial consultants providing business services, wealth management, and real estate banking services to corporations and high net-worth clients and large corporations. Throughout his real estate finance experience, Mr. Roadhouse has specialized in cultivating relationships with real estate brokers/agents throughout North America; and facilitating their preferred-lender status with home buyers. He was featured on HGTV’s, “House Hunters International,” airing throughout 2008, (he will be featured in 4 more shows in 2009), and interviewed in national magazines such as: Hotels, Continental, Dream Homes and many local newspapers. Mr. Roadhouse also has an extensive background in public speaking and has been a featured guest speaker and conducted over 100 events specific to off-shore real estate. He is based in Orange County, CA.

Dean Studebaker | President, Compass Group International

Dean Studebaker brings deep experience leading and motivating multifunctional teams to his role as President of Compass Group International/Compass Properties. After serving in the U.S. Military’s Special Operations unit, he obtained a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management and owned and operated two restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. He entered the real estate industry in 2002 and rose in the ranks to become KB Homes’ #1 Net Sales Performer by 2005. Mr. Studebaker created a sales manual still being used by KB Homes. Mr. Studebaker joined Compass Properties in 2006 and has since built up Compass Group International (the specialized consulting services arm of Compass Properties) as the #1 real estate consulting firm in Costa Rica. He is a featured contributor in Chicago Title Latin America's magazine and a featured guest speaker throughout Latin America. Mr. Studebaker is based in San José (Escazú), Costa Rica and is currently working with developers throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
