Dominican Republic
With its proximity to the US, coconut grove beaches and white sand, the Dominican Republic is still under-developed by Caribbean standards, but is quickly becoming a hotspot for ultra-luxury development. Many new developments have sprung up along the country's palm-fringed beaches. To encourage foreign investment, new tax incentives have been implemented such as reduction on property taxes, the elimination on duties for imported household items, and the reduction on duties for imported vehicles.
